Town Hall : Town hall Is beautiful peace of architectur built by british in 1866 as local administration office, when they took control of Punjab in 1849.
Gurudwara Saragarhi : The gurudwara was built in the memory of 21 brave sikh soldiers of the 36 sikh battalion who fought untill their last breath to protecting their post on 12 September 1897 in Saragarhi located in north- west border ( (now in Pakistan).
Qila Ahluwalia : This qila is located in heart of the downtown. It was built by one of the famous misaldar of Punjab provience Sardar jassa Singh Ahluwalia who played an important role in repelling foreign invasion during the 18th Century.
Jalebiawala Chowk : This roundabout is popular at the name of the sweet shop that has been in opertaion since 1956. In this old sweet shop they are making sweet duplings that called jalbies one of the famous sweet of Punjab state.
Udasin Ashram Akhara Sangalwala : This is holy place founded by Nirvan priyatam dass in1771. It is a educational and medidation centre for the holy men.
Chitta Akhara : Chitta Akhara also known as mahant ganga ram Akhara because he was the founder of this holy place. He established the shrine in 1781.The inside painting and stone work on its walls revealing its righteousness.
Darshani Deori : As the name shows its importance its self like darshan means (an opportunity to see a holy man or holy place) and Deori means ( a room at the top of the door ) so darshani deori was the place where Sri guru Arjan Dev Ji and Sri guru Hargobind Ji would stand to view The Harmandir Shaib ( The Golden Temple) during their time.
Baba Bohar :- Bohar means banyan tree it is loacted at the end of the utensil market ( Bartaan Bazaar) in the heart of the old city. Banyan tree has a very important religious signifant as per the hindu religion methogly. It is known as the symbolic of the trimurti Brahma, Vishnu and mahesha so that’s the reason they won’t trim this tree even when its comeout from the wall of the house and the baba Bohar is the live example of this and priest and holy man hace sat under it to meditate and philosophise.
Thakurdwara Dariana Mal : This is a very beautiful shrine dedicated to Lord Krishna and this place is very well renowed for its frescoes and finely engraved doors built during the reign of legendary Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Chowrasti Atari : This place was established by Sri Guru Hargobind Ji un early 1600s. He also established 32 shops by the side of this Atari and asked to the traders to start their businuess here and given the name to the market batti hatta market. This place is very close to his residence as well and he would often spend time here with the devotees.
Taksal (Mint) : This is the Amritsar’s first Mint established during the time of Maharaja Ranjit Singh where sikh reign coin were once minted. Located in katra Hari Singh.
Thakurdwara Raja Tej Singh : This hindu shrine was built by Raja Tej Singh in 1851.
Crawling Street: This sreet has very grievouse connection with the jallianwala bagh where humdred of indians were massacred by british troops on the order of general dyer in 1919.
Ancient Passage : These beautifully built arch ways were established by the sikh misls for the safety and security of the shops which were enclosed in those mohallas and katras.
