EXPLORE HIMACHAL WITH AMRITSAR

Day 01: Delhi – Amritsar Arrival at Amritsar airport / Station our driver/rep will meet you and transfer to hotel in Amritsar. Amritsar is the holy city of Sikh religion. The name of the city driven from the pool of The Golden Temple Amrit stands for Nectar and Sar stands for Pool, So the Amritsar means “THE POOL OF THE NECTAR” it is Head quarter of the Sikh religion.

Afternoon drive Wagah Border to see the retreat ceremony. India-Pakistan border famous for Flag lowering ceremony. It happens every evening at sun set time. Where 10-12 thousand people gather to witness of this ceremony. BSF and Pakistani Rangers perform this ceremony together. Overnight at hotel

Day 02: Amritsar – Dalhousie ( 180 KM/ 4 hrs )

After breakfast visit to The Golden Temple that’s called” Hari mandir sahib”( Temple Of The God) which was build by 5th Sikh master Guru Arjun Dev Ji in 1601.Everyday hundred of  thousand pilgrims visit the shrine from different part of the world. Every race, cast, religion, sect, rich and poor all treated equally. The community kitchen of the Tempe is the live example of the equality. Where approx. eighty thousand meals serve everyday.

After Visit to Jalliawala Bagh, Where British government did massacre on the day of 13 April 1919 during British raj in India. Thousands of innocent people killed at this place.

Afternoon drive to Dalhousie. The Dalhousie is a hill station established by British government in year 1854. Town named after THE Earl of Dalhousie who was the British Governer-General in India. While establishing this place as summer retreat for British troops and officials. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Dalhousie – Kalatop – Khajjiar – Dalhousie

After breakfast visit to khajjiar also known as mini Switzerland of India. Enroute to Dalhousie do a short walk inside Kalatop wildlife sanctuary, later visit to Panchpulla (Memorial of fighter Ajit Singh) evening visit to Church and free to explore local market near Gandhi chowk. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Dalhousie – Dharamsala (120 KM/ 4 hrs )

After breakfast drive to Dharamshala, Dharamshala is called little Lhasa. It is seat of 14th H.H. Dalai lama of Tibetan. It is also home of Tibetan community in exile. A small township of kangra valley covered with deodar tree in the Dhauladhar range of Himalayas.

After check in evening free to walk through Tibetan market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Dharamsala

After Breakfast start local sightseeing of Dharamshala, take a tour to Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagsu Nag Temple, St. John Church, Norbulingka institute, Dal lake Naddi, Cricket Stadium. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Dharamshala – Manali ( 250KM/ 8 Hrs)

After Breakfast drive to Manali (The Land of Sage Manu) through mountain route with most amazing sceneric views . Enroute entire drive would be through the country side with many small villages of Kullu Valley. Manali is situated on the bank of Beas.  Arrive Manali and overnight at Hotel.

 Day 07: Manali

After Breakfast drive to Solang Valley famous for winter sports, Paragliding, Parachuting, Sketting.In afternoon explore local sightseeing of old Manali Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple. Evening free for Shopping at Mall Road. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Manali

Morning excursion towards Rohtang Pass. Evening visit  Vashisht Temple to enjoy the hot spring in Manali. Overnight at hotel

Day 09: Manali – Shimla ( 250 KM/ 8 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Shimla. Shimla known as the Queen of the hills. It is very famous touristic spot among people. The name of the city drives from ‘Shamla’ another name of Goddess Kali.  It was formerly the summer capital during the British Rule. After check in hotel evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Shimla

After breakfast go for a Kufri . Afternoon visit Advance study and evening visit to Jakhu Temple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Shimla – Chandigarh (120 KM/3 hrs )

After breakfast drive to chadigarh. Chandigarh is fist modern city of independent india designed by World famous French architect  Le Corbusier in 1952. The meaning of Chandigarh, “ Chandi” means “The goddess of Power” and Garh means” The Fort”, “ Fort of Goddess Kali”. Afternoon visit to Rock garden and sukhna lake. Evening transfer airport/ Railway station to board flight / train for your onward journey.
